Report and remove fake and policy-breaching reviews
Identify and report fake, malicious and policy-breaching reviews on Google, Trustpilot and more.
Review platforms remove reviews that break their rules: fake experiences, conflicts of interest, competitor attacks, spam, hate or harassment. Since April 2025, fake reviews are also a banned practice under UK consumer law, and platforms must take reasonable steps against them. We identify the reviews that qualify, build the evidence and report them properly.
Who this is for
- Businesses hit by a sudden wave of negative reviews
- Firms receiving reviews from people who were never customers
- Multi-location businesses needing a consistent process
Who it is not for
- Removing genuine negative reviews from real customers. We help you respond to those instead.
Routes we use
Each route is assessed before anything is filed. Strength ratings are general indications; every case turns on its facts.
Google review policy report
Moderate route- When it applies
- The review is fake, off-topic, a conflict of interest, or contains prohibited content.
- What it needs
- Customer records, patterns, timestamps and the policy clause.
- Source
- Google: prohibited and restricted content policy
Trustpilot and other platforms
Moderate route- When it applies
- The review breaches the platform's reviewer guidelines.
- What it needs
- As above, in the platform's required format.
Review attack escalation

- What it needs
- Pattern analysis across accounts and dates.
- Source
- Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024
Defamatory reviews

How the work runs
- Eligibility reviewWe test each URL against the relevant law and platform policy before anything is filed.
- Evidence packWe build the submission: identity, context, dates, policy clauses and supporting documents.
- Submission and follow-upRequests are filed, tracked and chased. Refusals are appealed where grounds exist.
- FallbackWhere removal is refused or unavailable, we move the case to search repair.
Evidence you will need
- Links to the reviews
- Customer and booking records to check whether reviewers were customers
- Any threats or demands linked to reviews
What you receive
- Review-by-review assessment
- Filed reports with evidence
- Response drafts for genuine reviews
- Pattern report if an attack is suspected
What we cannot promise
- Platforms decide what breaches their rules. A review we believe is fake may still be kept.
- We never post, buy or incentivise reviews. That is unlawful in the UK.
Frequently asked questions
Can you remove a bad review?
Only if it breaks the platform's rules or the law. Genuine criticism stays, and a good public reply often does more for your reputation than removal would.
How do you know a review is fake?
We compare it against your customer records and look for patterns: timing, language, account history and connections between reviewers.
What does the DMCC Act change?
It makes writing or commissioning fake reviews a banned practice and requires review platforms to take reasonable and proportionate steps against them.
Can I sue a reviewer?
Possibly, if the review is defamatory. It is rarely the best first step. We coordinate with solicitors where it is justified.
How long do platforms take?
Anywhere from a few days to several weeks. We track and chase each report.
Is my enquiry confidential?
Yes. You can make first contact without giving your name, we sign a non-disclosure agreement before you share case details, and case files are held in restricted, encrypted storage with access limited to your case team.
